This 4 cm long attachment piece with a sliding system has replaced the magnetic attachment on the central rod of the XP Deus since mid-April. From now on, all Deus detectors will be equipped with the sliding system. Owners of a Deus with a magnetic holder can retrofit a slide system onto their Deus by purchasing two accessories. They will need two parts: XS1678 Central Rod Slide-On Piece and XH1677 Rear Panel of the Deus (officially: Housing XP Deus Rear Slide System). The magnetic attachment piece can be unscrewed with a small Phillips screwdriver and replaced with the slide system piece.
The reason for the change is that some users were losing their Deus housing during their searches. While digging, the housing was inadvertently knocked off, and since searches are conducted with headphones, users didn't notice when the housing fell off the rod. Therefore, XP has decided to equip all Deus detectors from mid-April 2011 with a fixed slide system.
